What is the Yakima EXO DoubleUp?

The Yakima EXO DoubleUp is a 2 bike carrier attachment and key component of the Yakima EXO System. The DoubleUp (or Yakima Double Up) can be mounted in two positions - either on the Yakima SwingBase (bottom position) or on the Yakima EXO TopShelf (top position). Depending on where you mount the DoubleUp, it can carry up to 2 bikes at 50lbs each. The DoubleUp has a no-tool installation, utilizing Yakima’s locking SpeedKnob system.


What kind of bikes can the Yakima DoubleUp carry? 

The EXO DoubleUp can carry most bikes, including fat-tire, electric  hybrid and kid’s bikes. It can accommodate wheel sizes from 20” - 29” and tire widths up to 4.8”. If your bike has disk brakes, through axles, boost hubs or a full suspension - the DoubleUp can accommodate those too.

  • Features Yakima’s StrongArm hook that secures the bike at the wheels, protecting painted surfaces and carbon frames
  • Compatible with Yakima’s SKS Lock cores included with EXO SwingBase or EXO TopShelf for added bike security
