Even in 2023, many Jeeps, trucks, and SUVs still come from the factory with halogen
bulbs. Here, we’ll take a look at two powerful alternative LED bulbs for your 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, or 2016 Ford F-250 Super Duty from ARC Lighting: the Tiny Monster Concept Series and the Tiny Monster Xtreme series.
The Concept and Xtreme Series are LED bulb replacements, perfect for swapping out factory
halogen bulbs. With automotive grade LED chips that are paired with a patented cooling technology, these
bulbs are designed with precision optics that create long range visibility and zero glare.
The
Concept Series LED bulb has a 6,000 lumen output, while the Xtreme Series has 10,000. Both bulbs have a
TopAim™ head that rotates 360 degrees for an optimal beam pattern. These bulbs are shock-resistant, making
them a great option for all-weather driving.
While the Tiny Monster Concept Series bulbs are an improvement in brightness over factory
halogen bulbs, the temperature (color tone) is a massive improvement over factory bulbs as
they emit a much whiter light. Likewise, with the Xtreme Series bulb, there is a significant difference with
improved brightness and color tone over the original bulb.
These
are two factors that will make a huge difference when you’re driving at night.
The Xtreme also has a
much larger housing than the Concept or factory bulbs, allowing for improved cooling. This means that your
install may be a little tighter with the Xtreme than with the Concept and clocking can be a little bit
trickier since the power connector isn’t directly attached to the housing.
ARC Lighting, the manufacturer for Tiny Monster Concept and Xtreme LED replacement bulbs
is a reliable manufacturer that pays serious attention to quality. Unlike cheap knock-offs you can find
online, ARC performs a lot of research and development and is known for standing behind their
product.
Tiny Monster bulbs are sold both online AND in local truck accessories stores such as Titan
Truck, where you can ask questions and get the service you deserve.
If increased brightness output is what you’re looking for, the Xtreme Series bulb is
definitely going to be the way to go. But, if size is a concern, the smaller heatsink on the Concept Series
bulb is probably going to be a better fit. You will be sacrificing some of that additional brightness output
with the Concept Series, but the color tone differences are a massive improvement over standard
bulbs.
