What is the Yakima EXO GearLocker?

The Yakima EXO GearLocker is a cargo box attachment and key component of the Yakima EXO System. The GearLocker (or Yakima Gear Locker) can be mounted in two positions on the Yakima Exo Hitch System, including on the Yakima SwingBase (bottom position) or on the Yakima EXO TopShelf (top position). Depending on where you mount the GearLocker, it can carry up to 100lbs of gear.  The GearLocker connects using Yakima’s locking SpeedKnobs for easy tool-free installation.

  • Includes Yakima’s proprietary SKS (SIngle Key System) lock for added gear security.
  • Comes fully assembled - no assembly is required.
  • Can carry up to 100lb of gear when mounted on EXO SwingBase and an 80lb gear weight mounted to the Yakima EXO TopShelf
